Continuing Education Credits
CECs are Continuing Education Credits, some organizations use the term CEU, or Continuing Education Units. CECs can be obtained by attending fitness related educational workshops. Most certifying bodies require their instructors to earn a certain number of CECs to maintain and renew their certificate. Check with your certifying body for the numbers of CECs you are required to earn. SCW Fitness Education requires 15 CECs every two years for renewal.
If CECs for your certified provider aren’t listed on the CEC forms, you can petition to be awarded CECs with your certifying body. Contact your certifying body for information on their petitioning process.
CEC sheets will be handed out at the end of the cert workshop or located in your MANIA convention outline binder. After the completion of your last scheduled class fill out the CEC form and the convention evaluation, then come to the SCW Registration Desk for an authorized signature. You keep the master document in your files until it is time to renew. Make copies of your CEC sheets to submit with your specialty certificate renewal paperwork.
This CEC information is to be used for your reviewing purposes only. This should not be used to obtain continued educational credits or units. You will receive your formal CEC sheets on-site at the SCW registration desk. For more information on cert workshops, please contact
